Bardenas Reales on mountain bike
Cycling Bardenas Reales is one of the things that every single biker has to do at least once in his life. From La Pastora, on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of Posada de Uncastillo, we help you to reach this goal.
On October 19th we propose a tour through the desolated landscapes of Bardenas Reales, one of the most unique desert areas of the Iberian Peninsula. Impossible erosions, spectacular geological formations, gullies and ravines that house a rich and varied fauna.
Such a singular space deserves to be enjoyed calmly and that is how we will do it, slowly and with stops to understand and value the uniqueness of this environment.
The meeting point of the route will be Uncastillo, a beautiful pre-Pyrenean town full of Romanesque churches, where we have our rural hotel and the headquarters of Rutas Prepirineo, which is who has prepared all the details. From Uncastillo we will leave, in the cars of the participants to Bardenas Reales where the route itself begins.
The tour includes mythical points such as the Monument to El Pastor, the famous Castildeterra and we will pass near the amazing reliefs of El Rallón and Pisquerra. There are no great slopes, so, if the wind does not insist on the contrary, it should not imply any difficulty.
